LAVA has unveiled the Raven Series – a new line of Power over Ethernet (PoE) power adapters for tablets, smartphones and other devices that charge over USB.

PoE provides both power and a wired network connection over the same Ethernet cable, eliminating the need for a separate electrical cable. The Raven PoE Power Adapters take in the PoE signal and then split it back into separate power and Ethernet signals for the attached devices.

The adapters come in four different port configurations: the Raven-A and uRaven-A adapters feature USB-A ports and the Raven-C and uRaven-C come with USB-C ports. The Raven adapters feature two USB ports, while the uRaven adapters feature one.

The Raven-A and uRaven-A are universal chargers that can provide power to any mobile device, peripheral or other product that charges over USB. The Raven-C and uRaven-C can power select USB-C mobile devices and are capable of Fast Charging if the mobile device has the same capability.

The uRaven-A and uRaven-C only have one USB port but also provide overcharge protection through Continuously Active Battery Modulation (CABM). CABM is a plug-and-play technology that ensures a mobile device never goes over 100%, extending the lifespan of its battery, even if it is left plugged in 24/7.

All four adapters also feature a LAN port to output a wired network connection to an Ethernet-capable device. See the below chart for the different configurations:
