With so many acronyms being thrown around on a daily basis, it’s hard to keep track of every single one. And frankly, if the meaning of an acronym isn’t immediately understood, it might as well be in a different language.
I am sure you have noticed that like most tech companies,we use a lot of acronyms at LAVA. Below is a list of some of our naming conventions, and an easy way to identify the product attributes they are associated with.
#U = Number of USB Ports
P = Power over Ethernet (PoE)
vc = Voltage Coverter
OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer (No Casing)
E = Ethernet
n = Docking Detect Adapters (example: nSTS)
e = Enhanced Battery Modulation and Network Recovery (RBM) Adapters (example: eSTS)
SynC = Simultaneous charging and data for USB-C
SynC+ = Simultaneous charging and data for USB-C with RBM
C-H = Charge & Host
Hope you found this FYI helpful.
